The Business of Events has strengthened its global think tank and advocacy network for the events sector with a raft of new strategic partners for 2026.
New partners include the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), The Meetings Show by Northstar and Cvent. They join long-standing partners VisitBritain, VisitScotland Business Events, ICC Wales, MeetEngland and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events.
Commenting on the announcement, a spokesperson from The Business of Events, said: “We’re delighted to welcome EICC, The Meetings Show and Cvent as new strategic partners for 2026, alongside the long-standing supporters who have helped us grow our impact over many years. Together, this expanded community strengthens our ability to convene the global business events ecosystem, champion the sector’s contribution to economic, community and social development, and ensure our policy and advocacy work is rooted in the real opportunities and challenges destinations and organisers are facing right now.”
Speaking on behalf of Cvent, Felicia Asiedu, European Marketing Director for Event Marketing and Management Solutions said: “We chose to partner with The Business of Events because its commitment to insight, advocacy, and meaningful dialogue reflects Cvent’s dedication to empowering the global events community with the technology and intelligence it needs to demonstrate and grow its broad economic impact. As a platform trusted by event professionals worldwide, we know how vital it is for the sector to have a strong, unified voice that drives positive change. The Business of Events provides exactly that, and we’re proud to help shape the future of business events through this partnership.”
Discussing ICC Wales’ renewed partnership Craig Bingham, Managing Director said: “Our decision to continue partnering with The Business of Events is driven by the tangible value it delivers for venues and destinations. Its programme brings senior stakeholders together in the right rooms, at the right time, to discuss the big issues – from economic impact and regional growth to skills, sustainability, innovation and accessibility. These priorities align perfectly with ICC Wales’ commitment to supporting the wider business events economy and strengthening relationships with government and the public sector and helping to improve event experiences for the industry as a whole.”
