The Business of Events has today announced that award winning BBC journalist Lucy Grey will host its 2026 Policy Forum.
The Forum, which takes place at IET London: Savoy Place on 7 July 2026, brings together politicians, policymakers and industry leaders to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the UK’s business events economy.

Lucy can be seen regularly covering the chief presenter slots on BBC News. Over the last twenty years she has reported from all over the world for TV, radio, and online, including from an Italian earthquake zone, a Syrian refugee camp in Lebanon, various terror attacks in Europe, and aboard a migrant rescue ship off the coast of Libya.
Lucy will lead a compelling and varied programme at The Business of Events’ Policy Forum, including a session with Nick Watt, Political Editor at BBC Newsnight, who will provide an overview of the current political landscape in the UK.
Also joining the programme is public safety campaigner Figen Murray OBE, who will share insights into the journey to Martyn’s Law, while accessibility advocate and multi-award-winning changemaker Dr Shani Dhanda will present a session on closing the accessibility gap in events, highlighting the opportunities and responsibilities facing organisers and venues.
